What's the connection between Cardinals & Monkeys?

Can there really be some kind of connection between Cardinals & Monkeys? Believe it or not, both monkeys and cardinals tend to play a pivotal role in their connection with human beings, and by recognizing this connection, a much greater understanding of the human mind, as well as the human spirit may be obtained.

While this may sound a little out of the ordinary to some, you may want to think about that for a moment… after all, monkeys are interactively involved in the human thinking process. Monkeys represent our primal mind, the part of the human brain more commonly referred to as, your Monkey Mind.

What is your Monkey Mind? Whenever we experience a veritable flood of unwanted thoughts racing through our minds, we are in a state of mind the ancient Eastern philosophers refer to as our Monkey Mind.  According to Jeanne Marie Antoinette, author of “Your Monkey Mind Connection”, these chattering primal thoughts may actually have a life of their own. Introducing a real live “virtual” monkey that resides inside the human mind, Antoinette takes the ancient Monkey Mind theory a step further, suggesting that in order to obtain the peace of mind required to connect with our inner wisdom, we must first learn to recognize and befriend the untamed primate that lives within.

So where do cardinals come in? While cardinals may not be one of the primal aspects of the human mind, they are for many, the “cardinal” spiritual messengers in human lives. Unlike monkeys, cardinals are not virtual in their presence, and while their visits may be unexpected, strangely enough they tend to be precisely timed.

It has been well documented that cardinals are much more than a celebrated red bird symbol. Cardinals have a long history of actually “showing up” during times of human loss, most often, shortly after the loss of a loved one. This timely cardinal visit has been known to deliver hope, along with many meaningful confirmations to the friends and family of the recently deceased. This widely experienced phenomenon is called the “Cardinal Experience” and many interesting real life stories of such experiences have been shared at the website, www.TheCardinalExperience.com.

Now that we’ve established the “human” connection between cardinals and monkeys, could those red-feathered birds and chattery primates possibly have anything else in common? Beyond their symbolic synchronicity, birds and primates are part of nature, and these two animals, like the rest of the natural world are intricately related to the human mind and spirit.
